We LOVE Honolulu, Hawaii, and Waikiki is our favorite beach on the island. When we go to Oahu, we usually stay right on the beach at the Westin Surfrider or the Royal Hawaiian (thank heavens for hotel points!). The beach is always packed with surfers, sunbathers, and people watchers. We pass the time there swimming in the sultry water and relaxing on the sand or in one of the many on-the-sand restaurants or bars. Did you know they have a fantastic art museum in Honolulu? They do, and there are the most beautiful flower arrangements in the foyer of the museum. This one, with deep red Anthurium, especially striking. I’m so grateful to have pastels to capture the stunning colors of the flowers, dried foliage and the vase.
